Newport Beach

Hi, neighbor.

This is the home of the Newport card: the locals on it, and the young designers it helps.

What this card is

A big 9x12 card, full of local owners who serve Newport. Each owner donates to reserve a spot, and those donations fund hands-on design training for young people at The Missing Pixel Project.

Why it came to you

It travels by Every Door Direct Mail, a U.S. Postal Service program that delivers one card to every mailbox on a postal route. Your mailbox is on one of the routes for Newport Beach, so the card comes to you and to every neighbor on your route.

This month's locals

The first Newport card is coming together.

Local owners are reserving their spots now.

How the card is made

  1. Local owners reserve their spots and tell us about their work.

  2. Each owner can have their ad designed free by young designers at The Missing Pixel Project, mentored by award-winning pros, or bring their own art.

  3. No design goes out without an award-winning pro's blessing, and every owner approves their own ad.

  4. Every ad teaches the students something, whoever designs it: how a brand tells its story in a small space, how a page gets ready for the press, and how to care for the people they serve from start to finish.

  5. Then our print partner, Printing4SuperCheap, prints the cards, and the Postal Service carries one to every mailbox on the routes.

Hands at work on a proof.
A layout taking shape.

You'll never see a student's name or face here. That's on purpose. We protect them.

Two ways to help

A note about the mail

The card comes once a month at most.

Every Door Direct Mail goes to every mailbox on a route, so there's no mailing list, and no way for us to skip a single address. We're sorry if the card isn't for you.

We'd still love to hear from you. Talk to a real person: call (949) 373-3730 or write to [email protected].

Each month brings a new card. Come back to meet its locals.
